Every Roast is Unique
PROFILE: STRAWBERRY & VANILLA
This coffee exemplified what naturals should be and defied all the typical expectations: syrupy, fruit-forward, but clean and crisp and with no hints of overferment.
PROFILE: CHERRY & CHOCOLATE
This coffee uses the twin virtues of balance and sweetness as our guide when creating the roast, keeping those two characteristics paramount. Bright, clean, sweet and harmonious.
PROFILE: BLACK TEA & LEMON
It is thought to be related to early Typica based on its shape, and similar to Ethiopian Longberry due to its taste profile – tea-like, lemon candy and a silky body.
The Amaro Mountains are a small range separating the communities of Amaro, to the east, and the Nechisar National Park and lowland tribal areas of Arba Minch, in southwestern Sidamo. Local coffee varieties, a relatively light population, waterfalls and highland bamboo forests add to the area’s beauty and uniqueness.
This exceptional coffee is exported through Asnakech Thomas, one of Ethiopia’s few women miller/exporters (if not the only one). In 2005, Asnakech returned to Ethiopia and her home region of Amaro to help improve the quality of coffee and living conditions in her community.
